2、Does ZWCAD have some Express tools like AutoCAD®?

Yes, ZWCAD has more than 80 functions in Express Tools which are similar to AutoCAD^® ,and some of them are ZWCAD unique features. It contains additional utilities such as revision clouds, text edits, dimstyle export and layer manager, etc. All of them help engineers work more efficiently. 

3、What is the limitation of ZWCAD trial version?

The ZWCAD trial version offers 30 days evaluation of all functions in ZWCAD. During the first 30 days, there are no limitations.
After the evaluation period, three functions are limited: (1) Export function is disabled; (2) plots have watermark (3) users cannot save drawings with more than 8,000 entities. All other functions remain.

4、What are the differences between ZWCAD Standard Version and ZWCAD Professional Version?

ZWCAD Standard version provides the powerful functions for 2D drafting, beside common functions, it also include the express tools, customization settings, LISP and ADS (equivalent to ADS). With all the features that ZWCAD Standard version has, Professional version also offers a simple 3D solid modeling environment (3D ACIS) and the Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) development environment.

5、Which Operation Systems do ZWCAD support?

ZWCAD is able to run under “Windows ME / Windows 2000 / Windows XP / Windows Vista” systems. However, ZWCAD doesn’t support the Linux, Mac OS with current version.

6、How to install ZWCAD Dongle Driver?

Dongle driver has been installed automatically during you install ZWCAD. However, if there are some mistakes and unable to find dongle formally, you can install driver manually by following way: Click the start menu of Windows, click all Programs (or Programs) → ZWCAD2008 Professional (or Standard) → click ZWCAD Dongle Driver → Repair → select the proper Dongle driver type to install. Then you can detect the Dongle and input the License code to register successfully.

7、What is the difference between ZWCAD Stand – alone version and Network version?

It is only the different way to get authorization for different situation to distribute or manage license. For the end user, there is no difference because the functions are the same. Stand-alone version requires dongle for every license to plug in every computer. And ZWCAD can get the authorization from this dongle when it is running. Network version provides only one dongle plug in the server. And there is a Console in the server to manage licenses where all the clients ask for authorization. Client can get authorization once there is any free license, so it insures licenses can be utilized best.

8、How to get the version number?

ZWCAD uses a date number like “2007.12.20”to distinguish the different versions. You can get this number by Vernum command to check your current version.

9、How to restore the default interface?

There are two methods to restore the standard interface: 1, command: options → profiles → press the “Reset”button. 2, menu: tools → customize → toolbars → press the “Reset”button.

10、How to load customer’s menu without replacing the existing menu?

ZWCAD can append menus to avoid replacing existing menus. When loading menus, simply ensure the Append To option is turned on.
