Helpful Spelling Check

Have you ever been in this situation: while typing text in the drawing, forgetting the word occasionally or isn't sure about the spelling? So what will you do? Looking up the word in the dictionary? Oh, it wastes time and doesnt work well.

ZWCAD's new function can help you. Let's try the spelling check!

The spelling check can check the spelling of single-line text, multiline text, paragraph text, attributes, attribute definitions, and dimension text, very useful!

This helpful function is available by the below ways:

  •  Tool: Text » Spelling  

         

  • Menu: Tools » Spelling
  • Keyboard: SPELL

      Command line prompt: Select entities to check spelling:

        Select entities and press ENTER

Once entities have been selected, "Check Spelling" dialog box  starts for the user to check the spelling of specified entities, as well as ignore or modify the spelling errors.

Click on “Change Dictionaries” button in the “Check Spelling” dialog box to start “Change Dictionaries”dialog box, from which you can select proper dictionary as required. 

Downloading and install a new dictionary

  1. Choose Tools > Spelling, select one or more text entities, then in the Check Spelling dialog box, click Change Dictionaries.
  1. Click Download.
  2. From the web page that displays (or from a different web page), download the desired dictionary.
  1. Unzip the contents of the downloaded file to MyDocumentsHunSpell, or the location where you installed spelling dictionaries for ZWCAD.
  2. Click Change Dictionaries again, which will load the newly installed dictionary.
  3. In Main Dictionary, select the desired dictionary.
  4. Click OK.

                                      

                                      


Using a dictionary already installed on your computer

  1. Copy the existing dictionary (DIC file) to MyDocumentsHunSpell. Or add the folder of the existing dictionary to the list of folders where ZWCAD searches for dictionaries. Choose Tools > Options, click Paths/Files and add the folder location to the Dictionary paths.
  2. Choose Tools > Spelling, select one or more text entities, then in the Check Spelling dialog box, click Change Dictionaries.
  3. In Main Dictionary, select the desired dictionary.
  4. Click OK.
